
A flight of three U.S. Army special operations helicopters conducting a night patrol over the ocean encountered a small Iranian freighter. Commonly known as MH-6 “Little Birds” due to their small size and nimble performance, the helicopters also carried a disproportionate amount of firepower. This flight was outfitted with rocket pods on both sides of the aircraft.
